Update 15th June

Hi all

Heading into the 2nd night of Dirt Cup tonight, Dean qualified for the A Main last night and finished 19th. Not a lot of time between the B Main and A Main to make any changes at all so its pretty tough going

The track is fast, Dean is happy with the car so looking forward to racing tonight.

Congrats to Peter Murphy on his win last night and to JA for his 2nd place

Its pretty tough competition and qualifying here so really pleased to make it into the A Mains

Will keep you all updated tonight

Update 11th June

Hi all

Sorry been waiting for some WiFi so I can update but hope you are all getting the Twitter updates during the racing.

Heading to Leabanon tonight for our final race before dirt cup at the end of the week, will be nice to have a couple of days off but Dean is certainly ready to race. Highlights so far have been qualifying 9th at Chico, Qualifying 5th last night and coming 2nd in the Dash. The dash gives you your grids for the A Main so Dean started off the front of the feature with Shane Stewart. We have now had a 10th place and a 7th place A Main finish.

Dean seems to be gaining momentum each night he races so is great to watch, his aim over here was to get in the A Main races which he has achieved, then it was to be in the top 10 finishers which he was 10th at Medford, then it was to get into a Dash which he did and came 2nd last night to Shane Stewart so he is very pleased and I am very proud.

Here is a couple more photos, I've taken heaps so can show you all when we get home.

Got to spend a couple of days in San Francisico, Chico with our fantstic tour guide Jonathan Allard even got to see some snakes on the side of the road in Chico, spent a day through the Napa Valley with lunch at a beautiful winery, and spent a night in Calistoga next the 1/2 mile track, currently sitting in the RV at Cottage Grove.

Just found a broken shock on the car possibly why it was a bit ugly in the feature....bugger

Talk to you soon

2 days to go....

Nearly there, we had our final fundraiser last Thursday.

Cowper Haulage and Central Plant Hire both kindly sponsored our Comedy Evening with NZ Comedians Jan Maree and Jarrad Fell who entertained a capacity crowd at CBD Pub in Hamilton.

We have had huge support from local and NZ businesses such as Redman Hiabs, Schick Construction & Cartage, Cowper Haulage, Central Plant Hire, Connell Contractors, North City Diesel, Turners Auctions, Traffic Management NZ, Hynds Pipe Systems, Hamilton Windscreens, Adlite Signs, Reids Construction Systems, Marley NZ, Edge Parts & Performance, Pavilion Apartments and CBD Corner Pub in Hood St Hamilton, in today's economy to have all this support is very humbling.

A huge thank you to CBD Corner Pub who have provided outstanding support and hospitality to us, our team and our guests as part of our fundraising functions.

Paula and Art at Adlite Signs for everything, Paula is probably running round now pulling her hair out trying to get things ready for us to take to the USA she does so much for us and always does a fantastic job.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us by attending our functions and to those who continuously offer words of support and encouragement when things get a bit tough.

A very special thanks to Peter Murphy, Brent Kaeding, Chuck Cypert, Paul Baines, Jonathan Allard and everyone up in the USA working hard to make sure everything is ready for us this weekend.

I look forward to keeping you updated on our progress in the USA

Kind regards and our sincere heartfelt thanks to everyone who has made this campaign happen
